on the jukebox: “I’ll Do Anything” by Jason Mraz
It’s a little startling having Legolas as my desktop. He just stares right at you! Ye gods.
I wish I had been one of those crazy people who went to the midnight showing of The Return of the King. It would have been awesome! But no, I will see it tomorrow at 1100 hrs. Hopefully it isn’t too crowded. I’m sure there will be a crowd though. 😉
BASEBALL BY THE A’S
The A’s are making moves. They’ve signed Ricardo Rincon to a two year deal, they’ve traded Mike Neu for Mark Redman, and they’ve traded away Michael Barrett. It’s all confusing! I guess I’ll just wait until spring training to figure out who’s actually on the team. LOL!
DO I GLOAT?
Sometimes when I talk about “my fellows,” I think I gloat. I hope people don’t think I do, but I think I do. Mostly it’s reliving lovely memories about fun times. Yes, fun times.
I remember when I was younger and I “loved” all these actors, singers, etc. I thought there was no chance in hell that I would ever meet them, but here I am having met some really lovely people I would have “loved” to bits back in the day. Of course, these days I can figure out that I appreciate their talent as well as their looks without being a drooling monster chick. And you know, it’s much more rewarding being a calm, normal person when you meet people you adore. They respond better to a clear and easy hello. 😉
Of course, I am also realistic about the people I might meet. Baseball players are the easiest, obviously. Go to a game, yell at them during batting practice, see them at an autograph signing, etc. You’re set. If you like the sci-fi/fantasy stuff and have money, you can go to a convention to see them… I don’t expect to meet Orlando Bloom, however. I just can’t envision a way to meet him, so it’s not likely to happen. And what the hell would I say to him? LOL! But I do find it cool that I’ve met some of the people he’s worked with. Yes, lovely…

I so love this movie…
