on the jukebox: “Delilah” by Tom Jones
Do I listen to too much Tom Jones? 😛
BASEBALL…
Curt Young has been named the pitching coach for the A’s. Hey, I remember when he was a player! How weird. Does this mean I’m getting old? GADS!
My A’s calendar at work now shows Ramon Hernandez in motion. It makes me sad! I’m going to miss Ramon! Alas, alas…
FOG… THE BEAUTY… THE DANGER…

This morning I let the dogs out into the misty cool. I love the mysterious beauty of the world on foggy days. I like looking out my window and seeing not much past my fence. It’s lovely.
But driving it?
On my way home tonight, I was glad to see that the sky was clear, the stars bright, the moon shining. But as I drove past Tracy, the mists began to drift closer to the freeway. Manteca was very misty. By the time I got onto 99 South, I could barely see the lights of the vehicles around me.
I probably should have gotten off at Broadway, but I took my usual exit instead and drove slowly down the road. I couldn’t see a thing! It was scarey and exhilarating. I was glad I was alone on the road. I didn’t need someone come up fast behind me and freaking me out. 😛 I got home safely, so all is well…
