Musings before midnight…

It’s been 21 months since Kevin Smith passed away… I mention it only because today I bought two packs of the Xena Quotable cards and one of the cards had an Ares picture on it. I still miss him…

So, I woke up without a hang over. Miracles! But I’m still sick. I’ve been sniffling and sneezing since Friday and it hasn’t really gotten any better. Drinking last night helped me a little, I think. Today my throat doesn’t hurt as much, but I am still congested. Yuck.

THE PARTY LAST NIGHT…

I took pictures! I drank a bit (as evidenced by last night’s post during my inebriated state), nibbled on carrots, and mingled. I knew some of the folks attending, but mostly just hung out. The DJ played and sometime before midnight (but after my post last night), the cops came:

(doorbell rings madly, birthday girl has the DJ turn down the music as she heads to the door)

Birthday girl: Hello. I couldn’t hear the doorbell.

Officer: I’m not surprised.

(Officer asks to turn down the music a bit, then leaves.)

Yeah, I thought it was funny that she said she couldn’t hear the doorbell. 😉

And yes, before that, the fire alarm went off. We’re guessing because of the smoke machine. I was outside, so I didn’t hear it until they turned the music down. By then ADT had tried to call and ended up calling my in-laws all the way in Maryland. They in turn tried to call back here. It was all straightened out after a bit. No big deal. 😛

AND TODAY…

By the time we came out of our room, the rest of the house looked almost as it did pre-party. We went out and did not come back until sometime after sundown and the house had that fresh Pine Sol smell.

We headed out to Fremont, then Milpitas, visiting our old haunts. We had lunch at Erik’s Deli, then walked around at the Great Mall. I bought some stuff at Bath and Body Works. We got some CDs at Media Play. On the way back, we stopped at Fry’s. I love Fry’s. We didn’t buy anything there. How odd. Our last stop was the hobby shop here in Livermore. I got two packs of Xena Quotables.

I hope I feel better tomorrow. I hate sniffling!

And friendly plugs out to:

Krisann – You are always so encouraging. I’m so lucky to have such a lovely friend! 😀

Nicole – soulDecision is one of my favorite groups! It’s probably because I met Trevor (and he’s a CUTIE!). Oh, and they’re friends with Ryan Gosling, another one of my favorite guys. 😉 Even though he is almost a decade younger than me. Ye gods!… But yeah, soulDecision. I hope their CD comes out SOON! I miss them…
