And thank you always for the comments:
Krisann – you’re a super sweet person and a wonderful friend. 🙂 Maybe one day I’ll get Greg to come up for a baseball game and he can introduce me to his friend. Wouldn’t that be a killer? Oh, and somehow you will have to be there!
Jen – I have a friend who thinks IE is evil, but I’m going to have to agree with you that Netscape is evil with websites. I try and make my sites look the same for all browsers, but I guess I failed with this layout. Sorry to those who use NS or AOL or CompuServe. And very weird about how we both started out on AOL. I wasn’t a computer nerd in college. I’m an English major! 😀
Chelle – You make me feel old! LOL! But it’s cool that you’ve been online since you were a youngster. You’ve definitely got design talent and your websites are a joy! I started off as “Kiari” because I knew AOL wouldn’t let me use “Valerie” as my screenname. When I started posting at the Xena/Herc message boards, I used Kiari again. I didn’t start going by Valerie online until I put up my soulDecision site. And now most of my fellow baseball fans know me as Valerie. It’s all very weird…
Sharon – Trevor Guthrie is the blond guy! 😀 Actually, he has brown hair now. And yes, “Faded” was their song.
THE SHORT VERSION OF MY SOULDECISION/TREVOR GUTHRIE STORY…
I actually met Trevor a month before he called me. It was a Christina Aguilera concert. I was there for soulDecision, the husband was there for Destiny’s Child. Before the concert started, we were walking around and I saw this tall blond fellow and realized that it was TREVOR GUTHRIE! My husband said, “Go talk to him.” I was like, eeek! But I took my nerves in hand and approached Trevor. I said, “Are you Trevor Guthrie?” He crinkled his eyes and said yes, then asked if he knew me. I laughed and said no, that I was just a fan. I asked for his autograph. While he was signing my little book, I asked him about Ryan Gosling. I wanted to know on what song Ryan sang background vocals. Trevor replied by singing a part from the song “Feelin’ You.” Awww!… When Trevor called a month later (I won a phone call from one of the guys), I mentioned that we had met. He remembered! And he remembered something I didn’t remember. LOL! We talked about Ryan (because his birthday was the day before Trevor’s call) and Trevor told me how he reminded Justin Timberlake to call Ryan for his birthday. (soulDecision was touring with N*Sync at the time.)
Can you tell I just love telling my soulDecision/Trevor Guthrie story?
HOUSESITTING AGAIN WITH SIX DOGS…
We’re housesitting again this weekend, so no pictures until at least Tuesday. Maybe I’ll have some from this weekend. Maybe I’ll even do some familial venting here. We’ll see how it all plays out.
Listening to The drip drip of water?
