THE FRIDAY FIVE (yes, on a Monday…)

1. Who is your favorite singer/musician? Why?
Harry Connick Jr. He’s the man! I love his music, his creativity, his voice, EVERYTHING. He’s swingin’ and he’s romantic and he can be funky too. He’s utterly versatile…

2. What one singer/musician can you not stand? Why?
Actually, I don’t mind most music. If I don’t like something, I just don’t listen to it! 😉

3. If your favorite singer wasn’t in the music business, do you think you would still like him/her as a person?
From what I’ve seen, I think I would still like Harry Connick Jr if he wasn’t in the music business. He’s funny and articulate and just a good guy.

4. Have you been to any concerts? If yes, who put on the best show?
I have been to MANY concerts. The best concert so far has been Harry Connick Jr. (Do you see a pattern here?) It was at the Orpheum in San Francisco. The acoustics are excellent there and Harry was just GREAT! It was a lovely lovely experience…

5. What are your thoughts on downloading free music online vs. purchasing albums? Do you feel the RIAA is right in its pursuit to stop people from dowloading free music?
I think the RIAA would do best to spend their money on other things. I believe music lovers out there buy enough music to sustain the artists and labels. The big money should be in the live performances, the concerts, the appearances. I purchase CDs and sometimes to me it’s more a crime to sell a piece of crappy music than to download free music. And I think it’s UTTERLY RIDICULOUS that a twelve year old girl was successfully sued. What the hell is the world coming to? Find and bring to justice the REAL criminals.
