The dream first:
A MARK MULDER DREAM! Woohoo! LOL! I dreamt it was after a game of some sort (a celebrity thing or something?) and I put my arm around his waist and we walked to his car. We talked and I guess in the dream he was my boyfriend or something (I was totally expecting him to throw me off and run away). In his car we drove somewhere, all the while still talking about stuff. Were we in San Francisco? I dunno, the dream just kinda ended, but I knew it was a dream. Weirdness!
And a little Karl lovin’:
Steph commented about Karl Urban and I am always very delighted when someone mentions him to me. Everyone always has something to say about Ryan Gosling. (OMG, Ryan is so hot! I love you Ryan! You met Ryan?! Is that really you in the picture with him? Etc.) But I rarely get emails about Karl.
I first met Karl in Sacramento for the Xena convention there in 1998. It was one of my most favorite conventions. I was in the front row and we got to ask Karl questions from our seats. Yes, not that many people there. I asked him an Erik Thomson question and he gave me a thoughtful answer. I also think he was impressed by the fact that I actually knew they worked together on a play. 😛 My most favorite moment was my turn at the autograph table. My mission was to deliver a portrait of him done by a friend of mine. I did so with a flourish and told him I needed proof that I gave it to him. I asked for a picture with him and after he agreed, I leaned closer to him, only to have his lips upon my cheek. Warm, soft lips. Awww! I kissed him back after the picture. (I always forget that part. LOL!) He smelled good. ::big sigh::
The last time I saw Karl was in Pasadena 2001. The Privateers had a booth and Karl was set to visit. When he did, I had him autograph something and I got a picture with him. That’s the one you can see up in the slide show. 😀 That moment is also captured on video! LOL!
So, I love Karl Urban. So proud of him! 😀 He’s a good man and very talented actor. And he probably doesn’t remember me at all. LOL!
