I think this is why I hesitated putting up fansite for a player. Sure, I’ve got my Mulder one, but I’ve yet to update it. It’s much easier fansiting (is that a word?!) for an actor or singer. You can adore them no matter what role they take or what music they put out. But a team guy, that’s serious love. And the question for me would be: If my most favorite player signed with the Yankees, would I still love him? The Yankees of course being the team I hate the most. A trade is different. But to sign with them?
Here’s the answer: I would love him NOT.
Case in point: Jason Giambi.
