Woohoo to the American League! The only time I heard a score at work, the NL was leading 5-1. So of course I was pleasantly surprised to year the end result. 😀
The whole Barry Zito thing: Well, personally, I think it was UTTER CRAP! How dare they treat the reigning CY YOUNG AWARD winner in such a manner? And for what? To appease the NY Yankees? Because the FOX network wanted it? WHY?! None of these reasons are valid. If Mike Scioscia had wanted him there in the first place, wouldn’t he have chosen him? All these questions.
I say F*** the Yankees. They are not the only baseball team in baseball and Clemens is not the only pitcher in baseball. He was never really my favorite by any means, but I’m sure there were more deserving pitchers to take Zito’s place, if it had to be done. And screw FOX network. They cancel my favorite shows and they’re trying to take over the whole world or something. Irrational, I know. 😛
And Clemens doesn’t deserve to be an afterthought? Well, my answer to that is that Barry Zito didn’t deserve to be ousted in such a manner! Zito found out while he was doing interviews with the media on Monday. He deserved to hear it from the A’s or Major League Baseball. I have to say, Barry took in stride though. Very classy. I would have been cursing up a storm. Wait, I was. LOL!
Of course, I personally think that Tim Hudson deserved a spot on the roster of the All Star Game, even over Barry “Cy Young” Zito. Huddy might not have the wins, but he’s been pitching magnificently.
