Well, the very important thing, besides the win, is that I got my Mark Mulder Bobblehead. WOOHOO! 😀 Here’s a bit of a rundown of our day:
The alarm went off at 6am and I was in the shower not five minutes later. My uniform of the day was my Mulder jersey and jean shorts. We left the house at around 7am and headed to the Bay Area. We had a quick McDonald’s breakfast in Livermore. We were in line at Gate C at about 8:45am.
The gates were set to open at 10:30am, so we had a long wait in line. It wasn’t so bad. The sun was already very warm and the breeze was scarce. We were in a decent spot and by 10:50, we had our bobbleheads in hand. Ms. Lisa surprised me and said hello as we walked in.
Once inside, we went out again to put the bobbleheads away. When we walked in, I just had to get a Byrnes t-shirt. I think he must be a fan favorite (he’s certainly one of mine!). I saw a lot of people with Byrnes t-shirts on. So now I have a Zito and Byrnes shirt. I still want to get my Mulder one, but since I have a jersey with his name and number, I don’t suppose I should be too picky. 😉
Our seats were in section 105, seats 9 and 10, right field side in the sun. Great seats for foul balls (we almost had one come in) but bad with the sun beating down… Terence Long launched a three run homer in the second inning. The Orioles came back with three runs (two scored on an error, I believe). By the time the A’s took the lead again with a two run homer from Scott Hatteburg in the 8th, we were on our way home. 😛 Terrible, I know!
Howdy to Miss Jen, who spotted me in the cute little pub. She recognized me from my Mulder jersey! LOL! Jen, I forgot to say, “Hey, we should take a picture together!” Next time, ‘k? 😀 (And I hope you went to the Hilton to see Byrnes!)
If we had stayed for the whole game, we would probably be at the Hilton right now waiting to get Eric Byrnes’ autograph. It would have been the best time to see him. It’s 21 and up only! Blah on us, but we were just too tired. And yet here I am writing in my blog. I’m such a goober, I know.
I took some pictures, but nothing too spectacular. I think I might have gotten some good ones of Fordyce. 😛 Like I know anything about him. LOL!
All in all, a good day. And my Mulder bobblehead is awesome! So cute. 😀
