Yes, I met Wil Wheaton. And because I’m lazy, here’s what I wrote at my LJ:

AWESOME!

I don’t know why, but I was totally silly and kept saying that. I’ve been reading Wil’s blog for awhile now and of course I had watched him as Wesley Crusher, so it was a neat-oh experience meeting him. He’s a swell fella and quite nice.

The only reason I knew about Super Con in San Jose was because Wil Wheaton mentioned it on his blog. And when I saw the mention, I thought about perhaps going. As the weekend approached, I thought, why not?

We weren’t sure which day we were going to go. Yesterday ended up being a lazy day, so we today we headed out to San Jose and Super Con.

We got in and wandered around and eventually found Wil at his table. There were a couple of people talking to him, so I went over and looked at his table and waited for his attention. A fellow was before me and he gave Wil this black t-shirt that said “sci-fi” in Greek letters. (So psi phi.) Wil was stoked and kept saying, “Why didn’t I think of that?” LOL! It was cute. The t-shirt was given to the guests, from what I overheard.

And then it was my turn. I asked Wil the cost of his latest book, then got some money from the hubby. I asked for a picture and he of course said yes. He walked out from behind his table and I introduced myself. He said my name a couple of times so that he would remember when he autographed my copy of his book.

I said thank you after it all and I was quite happy after I walked away. He’s a sweet guy!

Work has been busy these past couple of days.  Or maybe I’m just not used to working again yet.  Silly, eh?

And alas, no go to Burbank for me…

Erik won’t be attending the Xena convention next month. I’m sooo bummed!!! He emailed me on Wednesday with the news. He’s been cast in a new series and the dates clash with the convention and they couldn’t clear him to go. I was disappointed to hear that we wouldn’t be meeting quite yet, but I was very happy to hear he got a new series. Bittersweet, so bittersweet.

His parting words gave me a little smile though.

so i’m sorry we won’t be able to meet for that margarita but am sure that our paths will one day cross.

have a wonderful, safe christmas and i hope that 2006 brings you all happiness.

I missed that one. ALAS! LaRussa, others raise money for ARF. Mark Mulder was here last weekend. How did I NOT know? Bah!

It’s Friday, so that’s a good thing. But I think fog is thick outside. We’ll see.

The Xena convention is exactly a month away. Ye gods! I booked my hotel reservations today. I managed to get the convention rate ($108 plus tax per night) AND I supposedly got the last room. Think it’s true? All I know is that I’m so glad I got it! This way my very dear friend Lisa doesn’t have to chauffeur me around. And I’ll be close to the action, whatever action that might be.

Certain aspects of this upcoming convention have set themselves so easily it’s almost scary. Catching up with Erik, setting up my tickets, reserving my room. This promises to be a most interesting time. I am going to experience the convention from the other side.

Oh yes, and a margarita in Burbank.

I am SO EXCITED! Erik Thomson is going to be at the Xena Convention next month in Burbank. Guess where I’m going to be next month? Yes indeed!!!

When I found out, I had to email him. (Don’t ask!) And he confirmed that he is going to be at the convention. YE GODS! He also said: ” i hope you can get there, it will be good to meet you finally.”

AWWWWWW! Isn’t that totally SWEET? I hope I am a reasonable and calm person when I meet him. I don’t see why I shouldn’t be. I’ve kept my cool around most of my fellas, so what would be different with Erik? Nothing! Right. Yeah, I’ll keep telling myself that.

And while I was going wild with the emails, I decided to go ahead and email Mr. WGL and ask whether he’s going to be in town that same weekend. He actually replied and said that he thinks he will be in town, so I might see him too!

I will be such a happy happy fanchick that weekend. AND I get to visit with one of my good friends too!

Second, some tv ramblings…

PRISON BREAK is going to drive me crazy!!! We watched this week’s ep tonight and my nerves were wracked. Michael has a stripper/dancer wife?!… I was actually cheering the bad secret service guys when they left the badder bad guy in the well. So cruel… Lincoln needs more screentime. I want to see more Dominic Purcell, darn it!!!… I think Dr. Sara is a jealous lady and she really does like Michael. But she can’t admit such a thing to herself. He’s an inmate, for goodness’ sakes!… LJ was looking his real life age when he was tied up. He’s supposed to be how old? He was looking all the 21 of the actor playing him… I LOVE PRISON BREAK!!!

Third, I can’t wait until Thanksgiving Weekend! My sister and her husband are going to be here and I’m so excited to spend time with them. I’ve even invited them to our house. Ye gods! I guess that means I should clean up a bit.

It’s really crazy how much I don’t update here after baseball season is over. So sad of me! I’m a terrible blogger. Alas. But I have been updating at my LiveJournal. After my friend caved in and got a paid account (this after she kept telling me no, don’t get one!), I had to follow suit (heck, it was my idea!). So now I’m going crazy with the userpics. I keep commenting at friends’ LJs just to use my different pics. Isn’t that nutty?

Fanchick stuff and other ramblings follow…

CSI was GREAT! Not that I should be surprised. But it was a differently paced episode. Faster, harder, extremely intense. I loved it! Nick’s look is a bit questionable (I like the comment I read about it looking a bit pornstar-ish). The moustache just doesn’t work. It can’t right, if I giggled everytime he was on screen, no matter how serious he was being. Ye gods! The only time I didn’t laugh was when he was talking Spanish to the crowd behind the police tape. I love when he talks in Spanish. Ay, dios mio!

GHOST WHISPERER has freakin’ hooked me. Jennifer Love Hewitt is so adorable and so goody goody and she plays that character so well. I think I’ve cried at the end of every episode I’ve seen. Tis a well written and well acted show. I like it much.

I will be an unhappy PRISON BREAK fan when the show goes on break. Word is that the show won’t come back until May. As in six months from now, MAY! Whose freakin’ bright idea is that? How much of their current audience will hang around until May? Well, I know I will. But I will do so quite UNHAPPILY. Maybe the network (freakin’ FOX) will see the light and not dangle their audience for too long.

The nights are so crisp now. I like the smell of wood burning when I open the door to let the dogs out. I like being able to see the faint glimmer of the stars. I think the moon is waxing, heading to a full, bright light…

I am STUCK on my novel. I haven’t updated since Wednesday! Horrible. I have fallen way off pace. If I knew where I wanted the story to go, it might help. Alas! Bah. So I should go work on it. I hate this part, the writer’s block part.

And many congratulations to World Series MVP, Jermaine Dye!!!

FINALLY watched this week’s ep of Prison Break. So many things happened! Explosions, blood, fires, dead cat. Ye gods! And the vice president? Wowsers! I want to know what happens in the end, but I’m also trying to savor the journey to it. I really enjoy the show a lot.

I joined a Supernatural livejournal community. Am I that into the show? I’m not sure. But it’s fun to read some of the posts, even though I’m behind on the episodes. It’s nice to know the show has a following. Maybe it’ll last more than one season? Because who wouldn’t want to see Jensen Ackles every week for more than one tv season? Exactly!

The weather is cooling down here in California. We’ve had some sprinkles and such. I like how the temperature has dropped just enough for sweaters and long sleeves. Most lovely!

Ryan Gosling was spotted in Mississippi the other night. The person who saw him didn’t take the opportunity to say hello. I think he would have been approachable. I would have gone up to him. Of course, I say that only because I know he’s a nice guy. At least he was five years ago. He couldn’t have changed that much.
